Jib Cranes
Where the floor cannot be broken out for a column foundation, the jib is fixed instead to a building column or a reinforced wall. Fixing is by through bolts or by welding, and the arm sweeps a 180° arc in front of the wall — with no base plate, no foundation and nothing standing on the floor.
The wall bracket is designed for the reaction forces of your specific arm length and capacity, and drawings are supplied for the customer's structural engineer to check the supporting column before installation.
Wall-travelling versions run along a high-level runway beam so the same jib serves the full length of a bay rather than one fixed point.
Manual slewing is standard with an adjustable friction brake to hold the arm in position; electric slewing with a geared drive is available.
