Overhead Cranes
Single-girder cranes are available in electric and manual versions and are mounted across the load-bearing beams of a workshop, warehouse or stockyard. The end carriages travel on rails laid along beams carried by concrete or steel columns, so material can be lifted anywhere under the bridge without obstruction from floor equipment.
The bridge is a welded box girder, stress-relieved and machined so that the hoist runway stays true over the full span. Camber, web thickness and rail alignment are all set for the duty class you order, which keeps wheel wear and track loading predictable across a long service life.
Travel is driven by three-phase geared motor units on both end carriages, with soft-start frequency control available so that suspended loads do not swing when the crane starts and stops. Long-travel, cross-travel and hoisting can each be specified at single or dual speed.
Standard control is a pendant push-button station suspended from the crab; a radio remote with an emergency-stop mushroom head can be added, and both can be fitted together so the operator can switch between them on the floor.
